UNH TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

Hope all is well! The Halloween Howl is coming up this Friday!! I just wanted to let you know of a few quick things for Friday, November 11, 2011. Below is your daughters’ schedule for the Halloween Howl. There have been some changes since the last schedules were released due to some teams dropping. Be there 45 minutes prior to your first game; meet at AE tent.

PARKING:
Please park in a LEGAL spot!! If you are not parked in a legal spot your car will be TICKETED and TOWED from UNH. There is a Tennis Court lot located right next to the Field House and another lot that is located across the street from the Field House, LOT A. Please park in any of those lots. UNH Women’s Lacrosse is NOT responsible for any parking violation/ ticket. The UNH Police and Durham Police both DO give out tickets on campus. Below is the link so you can see where the fields are located and were parking lots are available. Parking on Friday shouldn’t be busy since it is a holiday.

RESTROOMS:
Restrooms will be located in the Dairy Bar(next to Memorial Field) and in the Field House. Please spread the words to the parents as well since these are the restrooms that will be available to us.

SCHEDULES:
Your team coach/ leader is responsible for getting the team to and from the games. Some games are back to back and others you have a break in between. There will be a central AIR HORN that will start and stop each game. Please make sure you are looking at the schedule correctly and are going to the correct field! Each field has their own schedule. See attached schedules.

INDOOR SPACE:
Since the weather on Friday is supposed to be a high of 53 and a low of 43 please have your players dress accordingly.  If you need to come inside to warm up you are more than welcome too. You can go in the lobby of the Field House or The Whitmore Center.

MANDATORY GEAR:
All players must be wearing protective goggles and a properly fitted mouth guard. We will not have any extra to be distributed so please make sure the players know. Don’t forget your lacrosse stick and shoes as well!

GEAR/ VENDORS:
UNH will be selling some gear located at Memorial and Football fields. We are selling everything from backpacks, sticks and gloves to tank tops! We will be selling coffee and hot chocolate from Dunkin Donuts as well

FIELDS:
Memorial Field: it is ASTRO TURF! Please advise your players to wear either sneakers or turfs. They CANNOT wear cleats as they will be falling all over the place.

Bremner and Cowell : This field material is Field Turf! You can wear either cleats or turfs. I would suggest either of those and NO sneakers as you will not get very good grip on the field turf, especially if it rains.

Lower Band/ Back Field: is GRASS! I would recommend wearing cleats on this. Since the games will be played in the morning then the grass will most likely be very wet! Maybe even bring an extra pair of socks!

EVO Parents and Players,

The UNH Tournament this Sunday, October 30th, has been cancelled due to weather, the make up date for the UNH Halloween Howl will be November 11, 2011 on Veteran’s Day.

I will send out all information pertaining to the new tournament details as I receive it.
